2935036 - Unable to Complete Unassigned Tasks Related to Review Time Data in Business Task Management view

• You would like to know how you can complete unassigned items for tasks with the title cancellation of vacation/ meetings/ mentoring meetings approved etc.
• You might observe in the application logs that the business task is inconsistent and that there no valid responsible person/organization.
• You might observe that you are unable to assign the task to yourself.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Application and User Management work center
2. Click Business Task Management view
3. Select Unassigned Tasks
4. Enter Review Time Data as Process

A possible cause could be that the functionality 'Do you want to remove substitutions and authorizations for users whose validity date is in the past?' is scoped. If it is scoped, then the authorizations of the invalid users will be removed. Since the authorizations of the user were removed, all the notifications/tasks of this user set to unassigned.

You can verify the scoping by:

1. Go to Business Configuration 
2. Select Implementation Projects  View
3. Highlight the project and select Edit Project Scope
4. Navigate to Questions Built-in Services and Support > System Management > User and Access Management > Group: Remove authorization for invalid users: Do u want to remove substitutions and authorizations for users whose validity date is in the past.

The status of those unassigned items need to be set to completed in the backend. Please open an incident and provide permission for backend correction.
