  1. People > Cohorts > Add New > Add a curricula in the “Curriculum” field >
  2. In the Cohort, Users tab, add a user in it > The curricula is assigned to the user >
  3. Cohort Summary tab > Change/Remove the curricula in the “Curriculum” field > Apply Changes >
  4. The previous curricula is not removed from the cohort user’s learning plan and the new curricula is not added to the cohort user’s learning plan.

(2)

  1. Learning Activities > Curricula > Search and access the desired curricula > Actions > Create Curriculum Classes > Check the “Add the Classes to a Cohort” box to add the class to a cohort >
  2. The user that is part of the cohort has the just scheduled class added in its learning plan >

  4. Go to the “Offerings” tab of the cohort and remove the class from the cohort >
  5. The class is not removed from the cohort user’s learning plan.

Resolution

(1) When adding a user to a cohort, the user is assigned the associated curricula. When the curricula is removed from the cohort, the curricula is not removed from the cohort user’s learning plan. If a new curricula is added in the cohort, the new curricula is not added to the cohort user’s learning plan.

Workaround: Before changing the curricula, remove the user from the cohort selecting to unassign curricula, then change the curricula and then add the user back.

Steps to perform the above-mentioned action:

  1. In the cohort > Users > Select “Remove” > Apply Changes > Yes.

(2) If the "Remove associated items from Users' learning plans” setting is checked in the “Register Rules” tab of the cohort, then when a class is removed from the cohort, the class will not be on the cohort user’s learning plan.
