Symptom
- Failed to schedule publication
- When scheduling a publication, user get the following message: The artifact couldn't be sent to mail delivery service
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud 2020.8.9 or higher
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to SAP Analytics Cloud
- Browse File and select a Story or Analytic Application based on a live connection
- Select the option to Schedule a Publication
- Enter a Publication Name,Start Time, Subject, SAP Analytics Cloud Recipients or Non-SAP Analytics Cloud Recipients, Click OK
- Go to the Calendar and noticed the error: The artifact couldn't be sent to mail delivery service
Resolution
When using a live connection, you need to have the following setup for a publication :
- From Advanced Features, select the Let users set up a schedule for publishing stories option
- SAPCP Cloud connector to be installed and configured using the virtual host as in the advanced feature of the live connection
- While scheduling stories based on live connections, make sure that the Allow live data to leave my network switch is enabled from Start of the navigation path. System >> Datasource >> Configuration
NOTE: Schedule Publications functionality is available in SAP Analytics Cloud tenants provisioned on top of the SAP Cloud Platform Cloud Foundry environment (AWS US East (US10), AWS Europe Central (EU10), AWS Brazil (BR10), AWS Japan (JA10),AWS Sydney (AP10),AWS Singapore (AP11), Ali cloud China (CN40)).
