SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

1. Create a Time Profile and set the country as ‘Australia’ and absence class as 'unspecified'.
2. In the Time Type that is assigned to the time profile, set the ‘Advance Leave Payment Allowed’ as ‘No’.

3. Navigate to Time Off MSS/ESS UI of an employee who has been assigned with the above time profile.

4. On creating a new time off request, there is no issue as the advance payment fields ('Request Advance Pay' and 'Split Pay Across Financial Year' )are not visible.

5. Edit an existing leave request and the fields are visible.

This is an expected behavior and as per design.

• The fields will be visible while editing a leave request even though the advance leave payment is not enabled but if employee tries to fill the field 'Request Advance Pay' with value 'Yes', then an error message occurs "The time type of this absence is not configured for requesting advance payment".
• This is planned to be enhanced in b2105 but not confirmed. Enhancement Ticket: TIM-12757. The KBA will be updated on the details and when the date is confirmed.

• If the error message is not appearing even after the the field 'Request Advance Pay' is set to 'Yes' and employee can successfully submit the leave, then please follow the below workaround:
  • Navigate to a time type that is assigned to the time profile.
  • Take Action ->Make Correction
  • Set the 'Advance Leave Payment Allowed' to 'Yes' -> Set it back to 'No' -> Save
  • Follow this step for each of the time type that is assigned to the time profile.
