Symptom
- ASE and Backup Server logs show a number of interconnected errors
- ASE errors include 715, 707 and a signal 11 at address dpdb_free_dpm

Many more instances of error 715, followed by signal 11 at dpdb_free_dpm

Followed by a stack trace including:

- At the same time (01:04) Backup Server shows many instance of this error:
Jun 12 01:04:46 2020: D00: SYBMULTBUF ERROR: Emulator interprocess communication failed with error state = 9, error code=0, system message=Pipe I/O returned 0 bytes.
Jun 12 01:04:46 2020: Open Server Error: 16248.10.0: Error in srv_select() - file descriptor 81 is no longer active
- An hour later a similar pattern but with different error is seen for a dump on the same database. ASE log:
2020/06/12 02:04:41.64 server Error: 707, Severity: 20, State: 11
2020/06/12 02:04:41.64 server System error detected during attempt to free memory at address 0x2ada0cab5000. Please consult the ASE error log for more details.
Which matches to same Backup Server error as above:
