2936932 - It is not possible to assign a WBS Element to a Sales Order line item

There is an error message during WBS element allocation to sales orders - V2 511: You cannot assign any WBS elements to this sales document item category.

Projects with revenue enable planning and posting of costs and revenues for projects. The billing elements within this project structure are work breakdown structure (WBS) elements. In sales documents, these WBS elements can be assigned to sales document items. The assignment can be made to a selected list of item categories and sales document types.

New checks were introduced to the system in CE2005 to check against the validity of WBS Elements at sales order level.

You can only link a Sales Order line item to a WBS element in the project structure that is flagged as Billing Element.

9.1.5.4 Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management in Sales Documents
You can now assign work breakdown structure (WBS) elements from Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) projects to sales document items. This assures that the corresponding revenue is posted correctly"
