2937631 - System Crashes While Posting Inbound Deliveries

Symptom

System crashes when working with inbound deliveries, and trying to post goods receipt.

Environment

 SAP Buisness Bydesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Inbound Logistics Workcentre.
  2. Go to Purchase Orders view.
  3. Search for the relevant purchase order ID.
  4. Choose Post Goods Receipt
  5. System crashes

Cause

The dump is taking place due to the SDD strategy maintained in the receiving site (Location-> Material Flow -> Destination) where the destination determination is set up with last putaway for huge number of Logistics areas.

With last putaway, the SDD engine searches the confirmations (warehouse confirmations) for the products involved in the order for each of the Logistic areas one after another until the right Logistic area for a product is found and the necessary Logistics area constraints are met.

With the amount of huge number of Logistics areas involved and the number of items in the order the transaction times out.

Resolution

Please use a different strategy or reduce the number of LoAs in the material flow rule.
