2938323 - Error Message: For Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung the Tax Number is Expected

You cannot select tax return type Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung in the Company Tax Arrangement of Tax Authority, Tax Country Germany.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to the Company Tax Arrangements subview in the Tax Authorities view.
3. Search and select Tax Authority ABC (ABC is the tax authority ID), Company DEF (DEF is the company ID) and Tax Country Germany.
4. Click Edit.
5. Navigate to the Tax Numbers subtab.
6. User has maintained the Tax Number Type 1 - VAT Registration Number.
7. Navigate to the Tax Return Arrangements subtab.
8. Enter Tax Return Arrangement ID and select Tax Return Type 1 - Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung.
9. Click Save.
10. You get the following error messages:

" Save failed.

For Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung the Tax Number is expected."

You have not maintained a Tax Number.

You have to maintain a Tax Number for the Tax Authority:

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to the Company Tax Arrangements subview in the Tax Authorities view.
3. Search and select Tax Authority ABC, Company DEF and Tax Country Germany.
4. Click Edit.
5. Navigate to the Tax Numbers subtab.
6. Click Add Row.
7. Select the Tax Number Type 5 - Tax Number.
8. Enter the tax number.
9. Click Save.
10. Navigate to the Tax Return Arrangements subtab.
11. Click Add Row.
12. Enter Tax Return Arrangement ID.
13. Select Tax Return Type as 1 - Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung.
14. Click Save.
