2938491 - ICM: connection to another system on the same server fails

There are two SAP systems running on the same server and at least the client system is based on SAP NetWeaver ABAP (for example, both the ABAP and Java systems of a Solution Manager 7.2).

When the ABAP system tries to open an HTTP(S) connection to the other system, the connection fails and entries very similar to the below are written to the ICM trace file (dev_icm) of the ABAP (client) system:
