You execute the Balance Audit Trial report and you are not able to see the Employee ID and Name in the report; However, the respective Journal Entry displays the Employee ID in the Journal Entry Line Item.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the General Ledger work center.
- Go to the Reports view.
- Click on Balance Audit Trial Report.
- Execute the report.
- Here, you expect that the Employee ID/Name Characteristics according to the Journal Entry Line items.
Cause
The Balance Audit Trial report is used to show the opening and ending balance based on the line items for each G/L account. The data available in the report is merely based on the GL Account. Specific Journal Entry Item attributes, such as the Employee ID and Name do not appear in the Balance Audit Trial report.
Resolution
Use the 'Journal' or G/L Accounts - Line Items report which display data according to the Journal Entry Line item details.
