• JS Agent process does not start up. You may see the following messages in jsagent.log.

jamain SYB_JSAGENT waiting for connection
jamain Job Scheduler Agent connected with Job Scheduler Task on port <port number>
jamain -> JS: Task/Agent connection terminated.
jamain Job Scheduler failed to receive communication buffer while reading message type.
jamain Connection to Job Scheduler task terminated unexpectedly with error -4
jamain Lost connectivity to server during JS agent shutdown.No attempt to reconnect will be made. Final job information will not be written.
jamain JS Agent aborting. Cancel all running jobs.
jamain Job Processing failed.
jamain JS Agent exiting.

• you may see the following messages in ASE errorlog.

server Error: 9583, Severity: 16, State: 4
server Warning: The sum of minimum number of uppercase characters and minimum number of lowercase characters in the password is greater than the minimum number of alphabetic characters.
kernel Job Scheduler failed to create jstask password. Job scheduler will try to restart itself.
