• What permission is required to create Global Bookmark in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)?

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 

1. Log on to SAC tenant.
2. Open one story the user can view.
3. From the menu, select  (Bookmark)  > Bookmark Current State.
   => Option Public is disabled so unable to create Global Bookmark.

• The user only has Create permermission on Private Bookmark (Personal).

• Ensure that the Create permission on Global Bookmark has been enabled in the role assigned to the user.
• Modify the current role (or assign another role) to grant at least Create permission on either Public Files or Private Files (depending on the story type) to the user.

Alternative solution after 2025.20 or 2025 QRC4:

• Ensure that the Create permission on Global Bookmark has been enabled in the role assigned to the user.
• Turn on option "Check only bookmark permissions for all bookmarks" in Administration - System Configuration (by default: Off)
