• Error: "<...> has failed to upload because of an error in plugin service" occurs when creating Model or Dataset by using S/4HANA import connection in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Error detail:

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2020.13.1

1. Logon SAC.
2. Try to create Model or Dataset baed on Import Data connectino to S/4HANA>
3. Select the specific query.
4. Select some objects in Build SAP S/4HANA Query panel.
5. Select two filters based on fields under Paramters.
6. Click Create.

• The OData Service used to build query is exposed from CDS View in S/4HANA having mandatory parameter(s).
• To consume such OData serivice, URL parameters have to be provided in the OData Reuqest, which is not supported in SAC as described in SAP KBA 2781481.
• Then, the two filters created in step 5 is based on one of mendatory parameter. As a result, the following filter will be added into the OData reuqest:
• Parameters/<Parameter name> eq '<value>'
• Such filter cannot be recognized and executed on S4HANA side, resulting in the error as described in SAP KBA 2919636.

• Please follow SAP KBA 2424376 to go to the SAP Analytics Cloud & SAP Digital Boardroom Customer Influence to create request a new feature, enhancement or improvement request that is not currently available in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Workaround:  Use OData Service connection with Freehand query to pass any parameter you'd like to the specific OData Service from S/4HANA as described in SAP KBA 2781481.
