2940212 - New Demand Plan Created with Weekly Bucket and Released did not update Planning screen with Weekly Forecasts

You have created and Released New Demand Plan KLM which is in Active status  with Weekly Bucket, However in Planning screen Forecasts maintained for Old Demand Plan DEF which is in Obsolete Status, Bucket Type Monthly is shown.*KLM refers to New Demand Plan, *DEF refers to Old Demand Plan

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to Demand Planning Work Center
2. Go to Demand Plans View
3. Search for DEF & KLM

You Observe Old Demand Plan DEF is in Obsolete Status, and New Demand Plan KLM is in Active Status

1. Go to Supply Planning Work Center
2. Navigate to Products View
3. Search for Product PQR

In Product Planning Details Observe Forecast in Month although New Demand plan  Forecasts are in Week.

This is actually the expected behavior from the system,monthly buckets are already created in the system by older Demand Plan DEF which is now obsolete. Now since a new Demand Plan KLM is created with weekly bucket, system can not automatically change the bucket type for already created forecast from month to week or even vice versa.

Hence solution would be before releasing new Demand Plan KLM with different bucket type you go to current forecast and delete the monthly forecast and then release the new Demand Plan with weekly bucket.

In order to Delete Old Forecasts, Follow the below steps

1. Go to Supply Planning Work Center
2. In Common tasks, Navigate to Maintain Demand Forecast
3. Enter Product ID and Period Type and Run the Query
4. Select the Forecasting in Forecasting Planning Table
5. Click Delete.
