2940587 - How to configure the workflow for the enhanced RfC Approval

Symptom

  • You use Change Request Management to control your software distribution
  • You created a Request for Change (RfC), and the Approval Procedure has been chosen
  • You want to use the SAP Business Workflow for the approvals in order to notify (email) partners involved in approval process:
    There are two different workflow templates available:
    • Workflow Template for RfC Approval CRM_RFC_APRV WS17100016, which uses Smartform e-mail for approval notifications
    • Workflow Template for enhanced RfC Approval CRM_RFC_APPR WS19800038 (available since SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SP06)

This KBA explains the configuration steps for the enhanced RfC Approval workflow. These settings are not delivered in the standard.
The enhanced RfC Approval workflow supports two scenarios, depending if you want to use personalized mail forms or not:
