2940849 - Application links are not launching in XSS roles

XSS Application links are not launching from XSS Portal roles producing the following error(s)

1. 500 internal server error or Critical server error

2. You are calling this Web site with a browser that is not supported

3. UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION CX_UR_NOT_SUPPORTED_DEVICE in ABAP Program CLUR_NW7_SERVER

This issue commonly occurs when trying to launching Webdynpro ABAP applications using Homepage Framework but other scenarios are possible

• Internet Explorer
• NetWeaver 7.52 and/or SAP Kernel 753 and/or SAP_UI 7.52
• Employee Self Service (ESS)
• Manager Self Service (MSS)
