Alerts are not deleted or actions behave strangely in general

Resolution
In "Manage Data", make sure that the field "Admin Alert Type ID" contains the class name of the alert type you are working with. Especially if you work with manually created alerts, this is the most common root cause for strange behavior in the admin alerts framework.
