2941485 - Cannot See SAP Hana in the SQL Database connection list for acquired/imported connection within SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • When creating an imported/acquiered connection to SAP Hana, Users cannot see SAP Hana in the list of Databases

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (2020.8.9 and higher)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud)
  2. Go to Connection
  3. Create a New Connection
  4. Search and click on SQL Database
  5. Select Location and Connection type doesn't list SAP Hana even if it has been copied in c4a_agent_drivers.properties

Cause

SQL database doesn't Have the SAP Hana connection as it is supported using the direct SAP Hana dirver

Resolution

Use SAP Hana imported connection driver to connect to Hana instead of SQL Database. make sure you do install the SAP Java Connector (JCo)
