  • Backup server log on Primary reporting:

Jun 23 10:02:02 2020: A01: SYBMULTBUF ERROR: Error writing to archive device /sybase/xxx/data/xxxx.dmp. Attempted to write 24576 bytes, 5695 bytes were written.
Jun 23 10:02:02 2020: Backup Server: 4.145.2.22: [3] Error for database/archive device while working on stripe device '/sybase/xxx/data/xxxx.dmp'. Error writing to archive device /sybase/xxx/data/xxxx.dmp. Attempted to write 24576 bytes, 5695 bytes were written.
Jun 23 10:02:02 2020: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database xxx: 14610922 kilobytes (10%) DUMPED.

  • The same error can happen when the command "sap_materialize auto" is executed manually by DBA to synchronize database.
  • In case of utilization of sap_materialize, the error is returned when executing "sap_status task" to monitor the progression of the materialization.
