Resolution

You don't need to create an own holiday calendar. You can use the existing SAP delivered holiday calendar for the respective country. Only a new working day calendar needs to be created which has the standard holiday calendar for the respective country assigned. The solution is as follows:

Step 1:

First, please create a new working day calendar in Business Configuration > activity Working Day Calendar.

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center
  2. Click on Overview view
  3. Select Activities
  4. Search for Working Day Calendar
  5. Open it
  6. Click on Create New Working Day Calendar
  7. Select the relevant country
  8. Click on Next
  9. Select the relevant holiday calendar
  10. Click on Next
  11. Select the Working Days
  12. Click on Next
  13. Click on Finish

During the above steps, you should assign the existing holiday calendar for the relevant country. After that, you should maintain the working day calendar you just created. In Step 4, the should add the public holiday.

Step 2:

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center
  2. Click on Overview view
  3. Select Activities
  4. Search for Working Day Calendar
  5. Open it
  6. Click on Maintain existing working day calendar (the new working day calendar you created in Step 1 with existing holiday calendar assigned)
  7. Click on Next until Step 4
  8. Add the holiday to the Working Day Calendar
