2941990 - How to generate and collect HTTP\HTTPS traces using Fiddler

Symptom

This document will provide information on how to collect Fiddler Trace for the below mentioned scenario's:

  • Any kind of connection issues troubleshooting (time-outs, connection failures).
  • Authentication issues.
  • Performance issues related to bad connection.
  • Synchronization issues.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer Addin
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Resolution

  1. Download and install Fiddler from the link http://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler (For Windows 8 or higher - use Fiddler 4).
  2. Start Fiddler.
  3. Go to Tools> Fiddler Options. Choose HTTPS tab.
  4. Enable "Capture HTTPS connect" and "Decrypt HTTPs traffic" options.
  5. Before starting the traffic capture restart Outlook.
  6. Reproduce the connectivity issue several times.
  7. Save captured sessions by going to "File> Save> All sessions..." in .saz archive.
