Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management (RCM)
    • Internal Career Site Powered by CSB
  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing (RMK)

Resolution

Internal Career Site powered by CSB versus RCM Internal Career Site

Internal Career Site powered by CSB allows employees to have the same brand experience as external candidates. The differences between both implementations are known and intentional. The new internal career site is not intended to be identical to the legacy career site for a number of reasons defined by our Product Management team.

The following features are not available in the Internal Career Site powered by CSB:

  • Save Job
  • Email Job to Friend

Sharing Job Manually with Other Employees

As Email Job to Friend feautre is not available for ICS, employees will only have the possibility to share job posting links manually with colleagues. In this context, it's important to understand how such links work and what's the system behavior if the job is posted internally, externally or both.

Job Posted Internally in RCM

If an employee access a RMK URL for a job that is posted only internally and is not authenticated in IAS (Identity Authentication Service), the following message appears:

"The page you are trying to access is for employees. Please login."

Authenticate users (employees) can see only internal job postings.

Job Posted Internally and Externally in RCM

If an employee access a RMK URL for a job that is posted internally and externally and is not authenticated, the employee will see the external job description as any other site visitant or external candidate.

This happens because the RMK link for an internal and external job posting is the same and the system has no way to determine who is accessing the RMK site. Consequently it won't force any authentication.

How to Force Authentication for a Job Posted Internally

The only way to have the system requesting the employee to authenticate (if not authenticated in IAS) is by accessing the RCM internal job posting URL available in Recruiting landing page > JOB POSTINGS as shown in the below image.

If the user access such link, the same will be redirect to IAS or corportate portal for authentication. The user will only see the internal job posting if authenticated as an employee.

It must be noted that this link is only accessible by users who have specific permission related to job requisitions. So in order to employees to be aware of this link to share with other employees, it's necessary to copy such link and add to the internal job description informing that this link should be shared instead of RMK link.
