2943124 - After upgrading all processes has stopped, several errors reported in errorlog - SAP ASE

Symptom

After an upgrade to ASE 16.0.03.08 all processing has stopped, seeing the following errors in ASE errorlog:

  • Error: 9947, Severity: 17, State: 15
    An attempt to allocate memory failed due to insufficient ASE memory.
  • Error: 7401, Severity: 17, State: 5
    Could not allocate memory for the threshold task's argument list; threshold task cannot be spawned for database 10, segment 2, free space 4096.
  • Error: 712, Severity: 17, State: 1
    There is insufficient heap memory to allocate 5896 bytes. Please increase configuration parameter 'heap memory per user' or try again when there is less activity on the system.
