2943547 - Internal Service Confirmation (Resource) Actual Cost Calculation

You perform the Production Lot Actual Costing. For the Cost Object Type: Resource (Internal Service Confirmation), the Result amount you have, is different from your expected amount.

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to the Actual Costing view.
3. Select Production Lot Actual Costing subview.
4. Search for the Production Lot ID XXX (XXX stands for the Production Lot ID).
5. Edit Production Lot XXX.
6. Select Actions > Expand.

For the Resource (internal service confirmation) XYX (XYZ stands for the ID of the internal service confirmation), you have the below information (The below information are example):
-Result: 923.52 Euro.
-Valuation Quantity: 8 hours.
-Costing Quantity: 10 hours.

The Valuation (Cost Rate) of the Resource XYZ maintained in the system is 300.00 Euro. Hence your expected result of the Resource XYZ Actual Costing is 300.00 euro*10h = 3.000,00 Euro and not 923.52 Euro.

• For the actual costing calculation, the resource quantity used is the Valuation Quantity and not the Costing Quantity. The Valuation Quantity is the real quantity of resource used on the specific production Lot (here 8 hours on Production Lot XXX).
• The Resource Cost Rate used in the calculation of Actual Cost is not the Cost Rate of the resource maintained in the system (here 300.00 Euro).
• Resources are assigned to Cost center. The cost center cost is distributed proportionally to the different resources of that cost center. Hence, the system for each resource used by a cost center determines a Cost Price used in the calculation of the Actual Costing. To see this Price Rate used follow the bellow steps:

1. On the Production Lot Actual Costing : XXX screen, select the ID: XYZ of the resource in the column: Costed Object.
2. Under the tab General > Administrative Data, there is the Period Cost 115.44 Euro for the Period Cost Unit of 1 hour. This is the resource cost rate used in the Actual Cost calculation (115.44 Euro*8h=923.52Euro)
   Here, the Valuation Quantity used is 8h instead of 10h as 8h is the real quantity used for the Production Lot XXX.
