2945061 - UME not working after upgrade - UmeUiException - UmeUiFactoryCompInterface.handleThrowable

Symptom

After upgrade to NW 7.5 SP18 or higher, the UME is not working. It gives an error "An error occurred; contact your system administrator" in every operation (search, insert, etc).

In addition, the following error is logged in the trace files:

com.sap.security.core.wd.exception.UmeUiException:
