2945985 - Unable to see who approved a Journal Entry Voucher when the Strict Dual Control Functionality is enabled.

Symptom

The Strict Dual Control functionality has been activated to ensure that one user creates or edits a Journal Entry Voucher and a second user posts it. However, once it has been posted, it is not possible to see who posted it.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the General Ledger workcenter.
  2. Navigate to the Journal Entry Vouchers view.
  3. Search for the Journal Entry Vouchers

It can be seen who created it, but not who posted it.

Cause

  • This function does not contain an approval flow respectively an approval as separate process step as we have this e. g. for Purchase Orders.
  • The user who has posted the document is the person who made the final decision to post it.
  • Reports track only the user who has created the posting but not who executed the posting.

Resolution

This is the standard system behavior.
