2947119 - “External Reference No” Field is Saved as Upper Case Letters for Sales Quote.


You find field "External Reference No" is changed to Upper Case Letters when click on Save button for Sales Quote.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Work Center.
  2. Go to Sales Quote work center view.
  3. Create a new Sales Quote or open an existing Sales Quote.
  4. Go to Header and find field "External Reference No".
  5. Enter value e.g. "abc".
  6. The value is changed to "ABC" automatically when click on Save button.


This field is an external key and has it's background also in ERP, where it is always converted to Upper Case.


This is the system standard behavior.

If you need case sensitive keys, you may use either the description or setup an extension field for this purpose.
