2947453 - HTTPS connection to HANA fails with "Connection reset" - SAP HANA Smart Data Integration

Symptom

  • framework.trc contains:
    • "error occurred while opening a HTTPS connection to URL: <HANA URL> Context: Connection reset"
  • After adding -Djavax.net.debug=ALL in dpagent.ini, framework.trc contains:
    • FrameworkService Starter Thread, handling exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
      FrameworkService Starter Thread, SEND TLSv1.2 ALERT:  fatal, description = unexpected_message
      FrameworkService Starter Thread, WRITE: TLSv1.2 Alert, length = 2
      FrameworkService Starter Thread, Exception sending alert: java.net.SocketException: errno: 32 (Broken pipe), error: Write failed (local port 47462 to address <agent IP> (<agent_hostname>), remote host unknown)
      FrameworkService Starter Thread, called closeSocket()
