Symptom

Permanent or sporadic network connectivity issues are observed between the on-premise network and the SAP data center network. Affected scenarios may include SAP Cloud Platform applications or SAP SuccessFactors tenants.

There is a need to determine the underlying cause of the connectivity issues and identify the source component(s) responsible for the disruptions.

Symptoms may vary significantly, typical are:

  • Timeouts during connection establishing
  • Timeouts when transferring data over the existing connection
  • Abnormal connection closures
  • SSL handshake errors
  • Connection refusals
  • Slow data transfer due to TCP retransmissions and out-of-order packets
