2948698 - Contact information mapping - Recruiting Posting

Symptom

Where is the contact information pulled from when posting a job requisition in Recruiting Posting?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Posting

Resolution

If you go to "Manage Recruiting Posting" / "Field completion" / select a template / one of the top field that needs to be mapped is "Contact Information".

This field is always mapped, either to "User" or to "Posting Profile".

User mapping:
If the mapping is set to user, each time the job requisition will be created or edited in Recruiting Posting, Recruiting Posting will pull the first name, last name, phone number, email and gender from RCM.
However, if there is no phone number set in RCM for the user, the system will then take the phone number of the posting profile in RPO and if this one is empty, it will go to the phone number of the company set in RPO.

Posting Profile mapping:
If the mapping is set to posting profile, each time the job requisition will be created or edited in Recruiting Posting, Recruiting Posting will pull the first name, last name, phone number, email and gender from the information filled in the Posting Profile in Recruiting Posting.

Important notes:

  • It is rare that this information is sent to the job boards. Only a few job boards require this information, and even fewer will display it.
  • These fields will be mapped as a group, it is therefore impossible to separate the mapping of the fields. If you use "User" the system will retrieve the data from the five fields at the same time.
  • If using another role in the mapping (Recruiter, Coordinator, etc.), the system will try to retrieve data from EC.
