2948999 - Not all Decimal Places displayed when using Imported Data Model in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

When using an imported data model in a story the data shows as

12.35000

even though the data is stored as

12.345678

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

Cause

This issue occurs because the default decimal precision for an imported model is two decimal places.

Resolution

To display more than two decimal place precision you will need to edit the measure/dimension at the model level.

  1. Open the model for editing
  2. Click on the root dimension (In bestRun it is "Account").  It is usually the very first dimension listed
  3. This should display the measures in your model.  Change the view to List View, and then click on the problem measure.
  4. In the Member Details on the right, change the number of decimal places to the desired precision level.
