2949155 - SUM: SELECT_ROADMAP - Source ABAP component SAP_BASIS could not be found in stack file

Symptom

  • Running an upgrade with SUM, in SELECT_ROADMAP phase you get:

# Error message set: 'Source ABAP component SAP_BASIS could not be found in stack file'

  • Inside SELECTROADMAP.LOG you will find information similar to the following:

 2 ETQ399 Calling 'saplicense' from /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/uc/<platform> to obtain installation number.

3 ETQ120 : PID xxxx execute '/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/uc/<platform>/saplicense -number NAME=<SID>', 
3 ETQ122 : PID xxxx exited with status 0 '' 
3 ETQ399 Found installation number 'INITIAL'
