2949466 - Deleting data from Non-Effective Dated Portlets such as Phone or Email Info via Imports does not remove synced data in EP

• Deleted Phone or Email Info in EC via Imports but the synced data in EP were not deleted
• When deleting the data via UI, the data in EP are deleted as expected

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Employee Data Import
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - HRIS Sync

1. Go to any user and confirm that Business Phone in EC is in sync with businessPhone in EP.
2. Delete the Business Phone in EC via UI and refresh the page. The businessPhone in EP is blank.
3. Enter a Business Phone in EC again and refrest the page. The businessPhone contains the same data.
4. Go to Import Employee Data. Create a template to delete the Business Phone using DELETE Operation.
5. Import the file.
6. Go to the Profile and confirm that the Phone Info was deleted in EC. However, the businessPhone value remained and was not deleted.

This is a limitation of HRIS Sync Job. Deleted data from Non-Effective Dated Objects such as Phone and Email Info cannot be synced by running HRIS Sync Jobs. The reason why deleting from the UI works is because the UI uses the Real Time Sync and it will remove the data in EP before deleting it from the Database. However, for Imports, the data is deleted first from the Database and then schedule an HRIS Sync Job to sync to EP. When the HRIS Sync Job starts, the data is already removed from the Database and will not update the data in EP.

Delete the data from the UI or delete it manually in EP.
