2949519 - Error Message "Posting results in insufficient quota for account Vacation" When Extending the Time Profile Date to a Past Date

Symptom

When you change Time Profile Start Date of an Employee to Past Date, system throws below error:

  • Posting results in insufficient quota for account Vacation (DD.MM.YYYY - DD.MM.YYYY)
  • Possible manual adjustments of time account exist.

(DD.MM.YYYY represents a date)

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Time Administration work center
  2. Go to Employees view
  3. Edit an Employee
  4. Go to Time Profile tab
  5. Change the Valid from date to a past date (as per business requirement)

Cause

Manual adjustments and / or approved vacation days exist in the future.

Resolution

Please remove the manual adjustments and cancel the approved times in the future.
