2949544 - Instance Sync - approverRole is a required field and cannot be blank

Symptom

  • unable to sync Foundation object Artifact
  • Instance Sync Tool shows error: " approverRole is a required field and cannot be blank,; approverType is required field and cannot be blank"

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Cause

  • Instance sync currently uses the import "workflow" for performing the sync of Workflow foundation object.
  • We currently do not have the ability to switch the template type to CCRole by checking if the Workflow has only CCRole configured to it.

Resolution

  • The workaround for the customer in this scenario is to select the CCRole template and import it manually via Admin center -> "Import Foundation Data" and select type "Cc Role"
