2949694 - 'ssn' and 'dateOfBirth' field values get copied/synced while candidate applies to other requisitions - Recruiting Management

Symptom

Standard fields 'ssn' and 'dateOfBirth' have been defined in the Application templates.

The values are added by the candidate in the first application and then whenever the same candidate tries to apply to another requisition,

we can see there are values already present in these fields in all the future applications he applies to in the instance.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

Apply to a job, fill these fields 'ssn' and 'dateOfBirth'

Save and submit the application.

Now, apply to another job and you can see these fields are already present

Cause

This is the expected behavior of the standard fields 'ssn' and 'dateOfBirth'.

Resolution

The standard fields 'ssn' and 'dateOfBirth' are ideally unique and should always be maintained the same per applicant across all applications to avoid mismatches.

These fields have the functionality of being present in all the future applications once you have filled it in the first application that you apply to in the instance
