Symptom

Running the /UI5/APP_INDEX_CALCULATE reports gives the following errors:

  • Error: Indexing of SAPUI5 repository <component> rejected because of duplicate id
  • SAPUI5 component nw.core.esh.searchloganalysis resides in multiple (2) repositories
  • SAPUI5 component nw.core.esh.searchloganalysis (case ignored) is contained in SAPUI5 repository ESH-QL-UI
  • SAPUI5 component nw.core.esh.searchloganalysis (case ignored) is contained in SAPUI5 repository NW-ESH-ASL
  • Error: Failed to delete descriptor of application <application> from layered repository

This can occur for more than one application
