• Error "The file type is not supported for file import" occurs when creating model based on import data connection to Amazon S3 using SAP Cloud Platform Open Connectors in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• The files are in .parquet type from Amazon S3
• What file types are supported?

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2020.8.15

1. Log on to SAC tenant.
2. Create one import data connection to Amazon S3 using SAP Cloud Platform Open Connectors.
3. Create one model on the connection.
   => Only two files in .parquet type exist there, but they are not selectable.
   => Getting tips message "The file type is not supported for file import" when moving the cursor on the file.

• Parquet files consumption is currently not supported in current SAC version.
• Only CSV and XLSX are supported for Amazon S3.
