2951071 - B2005 EC: Resignation/Termination Date field in job information is not auto populating


  • An Employee is terminated, but the Termination Date field in Job Info remains blank.

Reproducing the Issue

Scenario 1:

  1. Hire an Employee from Add new Employee 
  2. Employment Details has the Hire date
  3. In Job information Hire Date field is not auto populating

Scenario 2:

  1. Terminate an Employee
  2. Employment Details has termination date
  3. Termination Date field in Job Information is not auto populating


This issue is identified as a defect and Engineering team is working on code fix: ECT-137822


There are two workarounds:

  1. Configure an onSave rules to set the hire and termination fields in Job Information
  2. In "Manage Business Configuration", create a country specific Job Info configuration for a country which is not used(so it will not have an impact anywhere). In this configuration, define a different label for any of the fields defined globally, or add a custom field. As long as there are no Companies/Legal Entities in this country, it will not affect any business processes or employee profiles. It just needs to exist, and be enabled. Once there is a country specific Job Info model, the Hire and Termination dates will be filled for all employees during hire and termination, regardless of which country they work in.

We recommend to use the second workaround.
