2951084 - Signal 11 on DSI after Msg 102 "Incorrect syntax near ..." crashes RepServer - SRS

Symptom

  • Replication Server reports ASE Error 102 on a database connection:

ERROR #1028 DSI EXEC(nnn(1) <Replicate Dataserver>.<Database>) - neric/dsi/dsiqmint.c(5172)
Message from server: Message: 102, State 181, Severity 15 -- 'Incorrect syntax near '='.

  • In some cases, it can be followed by Signal 11 with a stack trace:

Thread DSI EXEC(nnn(1) <Replicate Dataserver>.<Database>) infected with signal 11.

  • The stack trace includes the following functions:

mem__Allocate_Monitor
mem__Allocate
dsi__increase_xact_buffer_size
_dsi_exec
_dsi_qm_exec_cmd
dsie_ProcessMsgFromSched
srv__start_function
