2951763 - No Write Access to EmployeeTimeRecordingView BO

Symptom

You have a requirement to get write access for one of the following,

  1. EmployeeTimeRecordingView BO
  2. Edit Time Sheet screen
  3. Allow to enhance UI Screen - SAP_BYD_APPLICATION_UI/hcm/tim/TimeSheet_QAF.QA.uicomponent
  4. Time Administration -> Employees -> Edit -> Time File -> Employee Times
  5. Home -> Self-Services -> Edit Time Sheet
  6. Home -> Self-Services -> New Leave Request

but it is not possible because its not PSM released.

SAP Business ByDesign

Cause

Due to complexity of time sheet it is not possible to enable the write access. If you have specific requirement, you can share your feedback in customer influence forum -

Resolution

Below are the options which will be alternative for the above requirement,

From 2011 release of SAP Business byDesign, a few pre-delivered extension fields are made available,

  1. Country / Region
  2. State
  3. Extension Field 1
  4. Extension Field 2

If there is any specific requirement on custom veto checks, you can use the Enhancement Option: ValidateTimes. Validate Times ia an enhancement spot that can be used to code for custom checks for timesheet entries
