2952997 - Serial numbers cannot be entered during inventory count

Symptom

Physical inventory is carried out for a material requiring serial numbers. When entering the count, it is not possible to input the serial numbers as there is no popup window to do it.

Reproducing the Issue

Create a physical inventory document for a material requiring serial numbers, and perform the physical count. The results of the count are then entered using the app "Enter Inventory Count". Following the instructions of the scope item BML, the serial numbers are entered in a separate window, but this window does not appear.

Cause

To enter serial numbers in a Physical inventory document, the requirement is to have a serial number profile with serial number usage '03'.

Resolution

To see the serial number profile assigned to the material in question, open the app "Display Material", enter the material number and the organization data, and choose the view "General Plant Data / Storage 2".

To find out how the serial number profile is configured, open the app "Manage Your Solution", and choose Configure Your Solution. Select the Application Area "Logistics", Sub Application Area "Serial Number Management", and then the SSCUI 103636.

If under Serializing Procedures, for procedure MMSL, Serial Number Usage is not set to "03 (Obligatory)", then it is not possible to enter the serial numbers at the time of posting the inventory count.
