Symptom

  • Viewing Lumira Designer documents based on a universe connecting to Sybase via the BI Launchpad results in the error: "Problems while accessing data"
  • Lumira Server logs show the following:

    LumiraServer|ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer error: Requested server name not found.
    com.sap.tools.commons.exception.NestedException: ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer error: Requested server name not found.
     at com.sap.tools.commons.exception.NestedException.create(Unknown Source)

    ......

    Caused by: com.businessobjects.connectionserver.DBDError: ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer error: Requested server name not found.
