2953245 - Financial Statement Version can't be selected in app 'Balance Sheet/Income Statement'

Symptom

You are unable to select various financial statement versions (FSVs) in 'Balance Sheet/Income Statement' (app ID F0708)

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open app 'Balance Sheet / Income Statement'
  2. Enter an FSV beginning with '$' into the 'Statement Version' field
  3. See error 'Resource not found for segment 'FinancialStatementVariantData'' 

Cause

FSVs with prefix '$" are templates that are delivered by SAP, and they can't be changed and consumed in reports (such as those used in the 'Balance Sheet / Income Statement' app).

Resolution

Template FSVs with prefix "$" can be copied to create a new FSV. Once saved & activated, they can be selected in the "Balance Sheet / Income Statement" app.
