2953651 - Deployment of UDDI component fails during SUM upgrade - SOLMAN - AS JAVA

Symptom

During the SOLMAN upgrade process or during the NW AS JAVA upgrade the SUM tool is stopped at the DEPLOY-COMPONENTS or at DEPLOY-SHADOW-INSTANCE phase.

In the UI of the SUM tool an error message is shown corresponding to the aborted deployment of the sap.com_tc~esi~uddi~content deploy component.

Checking the latest default traces in the folder \usr\sap\<SID>\<J2EE_instance_number>\j2ee\cluster\<server#>\log\, the below error entries are visible:

Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid version number: Version number may be
negative or greater than 255
