2954061 - Time Entries Are Not Updated in the Project When Time Recording is Uploaded via Excel Add-In

After uploading time recording via SAP ByD Excel Add-In, the actual hours are not updated in the respective project.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Open the Excel file for time recording upload
2. Login into SAP Byd Excel Add in in MS Excel
3. Enter the necessary time entries and details
4. Select Save to
5. Message shows records created successfully
6. In SAP Business ByDesign, go to Project Management work center and open the Projects view
7. Open the respective Project
8. The hours are not available under actual hours field

Time entries uploaded from Excel are not showing on the project because they are not activated.

Errors can occur during activation for various reasons e.g. because a labor resource did not exist for the project time recording, or a purchase order could not be determined etc.

These errors can be seen by the administrator under Time Administration work center in the Employee Time Records view by selecting "Errors (Excel Upload)" from the dropdown.

The process for uploading Project time recordings is as follows:

1. Upload time entries via Excel where initial data validation on the times is performed.
2. Once uploaded, activation of the times is done via a backend job, and if any error occurs, an error task is created for the administrator.
3. The administrator can check on the Employee Time Records view by selecting "Errors (Excel Upload)" from the dropdown. From there, the administrator can correct and activate the time entries.

Please use the Employee Time Records view to see the errors for the times uploaded and correct via the time sheet.
