Symptom

  • Initiate onboarding from RCM notice error in BPE monitor
  • Exception encountered while authorizing user for activity
  • BPE Process tile missing
  • Candidate does not appear in the dashboard

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to job requisition 
  2. Click initiate onboarding from RCM
  3. Notice candidate not sent to onboarding
  4. Error displayed in BPE monitor for exception.Onboarding2CreateExtUserErrorWorkflow
  5. Exception while invoking TaskListener: Exception encountered while authorizing user for activity com.successfactors.rbp.service.instancesync.GetDynamicGroupsByName

Cause



Resolution

  1. Go to Provisioning > Company Settings and ensure Instance Synchronization Tool is enabled
  2. Add permission Manage Instance Synchronization >> Sync MDF Picklists to the role you assigned to the BPE User
  3. After doing so, go to BPE Manage Process Tasks, restart the task and check.
