2955452 - Administer Obsolete Business Partner Removal Runs Cannot be Changed into Active Status

It is not possible to save Business Partner Removal runs with status Active, so that they can be executed to Delete Obsolete Business Partners. All newly created deletion runs are getting into Obsolete status and cannot be executed.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Data Protection and Privacy work center
2. Select Common Tasks sub view
3. Click on the link Administer Obsolete Business Partner Removal Runs
4. Select All Deletion Runs from the drop-down list (all jobs created are in obsolete status)
5. Click on the New button, input details, and save
6. The new entry will be saved in status obsolete

Administer Obsolete Business Partner Removal Runs is a scheduling run which schedules deletion runs for obsolete business partners according to the business partner type and date offset configured during run creation. Scheduled deletion runs can be checked in:

1. Data Protection and Privacy work center
2. Common Tasks subview
3. Administer Data Removal Runs

In case multiple executions are required, you can create a recurring run instead of a single run.

For the direct removal of business partners, follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Data Protection and Privacy work center
2. Navigate to Personal Data Removal subview
3. Select the business partners for removal
4. Click the button Remove Data. This will schedule a deletion run which can be monitored in:

1. Data Protection and Privacy Work Center
2. Common Tasks subview
3. Administer Data Removal Runs

Please note:

- The End of Purpose option is only valid for business partners with ID-Mapping, i.e. replicated business partners. This option serves replicated business partners that have reached end of purpose in the source system. Such business partners are only eligible for deletion, if End of Purpose indicator is set.  Hence, if  the incoming business partners through replication have reached End of Purpose in the source system, the indicator will be valid for them. No further steps are required in C4C.

- For a scenario where a new removal run is created while there is no relevant data in system (i.e. no obsolete business partners), the following results are expected: A job is created but changed to status Obsolete once the run is completed and the log says that no relevant business partner was found. For a scheduling run, when completed, the status is changed to Obsolete. If you want an active and recurring run, while creating the run please choose the Recurrence indicator.
