2955584 - Error "Combination company / CO area is invalid" occurs when saving a project in app "Project Builder"

Symptom

Following error occurs when trying to create and save a project in app "Project Builder".

"Combination company / CO area is invalid"
Message no. KO124

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to app "Project Builder" to create a new project.
  2. Enter project ID, Start date, Finish date.
  3. Enter Profit Center then save immediately without hitting enter.

Cause

This is standard behavior.
The company code is populated by the value of cost center.
If saving the project immediately after entering profit center, the cost center has not been input.
Thus no company code can be recognized at that point.

Resolution

After entering profit center, please hit enter to go ahead to enter cost center.
