2956025 - DB6: SQL1224N when MAX_LOG reached

Symptom

An application may receive SQL1224N when there are following errors in the db2diag.log:

MESSAGE : ADM1542W Application "disp+work" with application handle
"xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.33222.200612072820" and application id "SAPxxx "
executing under authentication id "40" will be forced off of the
database for violating database configuration parameter MAX_LOG
(current value ""). The unit of work will be rolled back.


The same error can be reported for a violation of the NUM_LOG_SPAN parameter.
